| What
is a Dedicated Server?
A dedicated server (also called an outsourced
server) is a server that is leased to a single customer. The
server hardware, routing equipment, and network connectivity
are monitored and maintained by the SeeWolf Online while the
server software is maintained by the customer. This solution
is appropriate when the customer has developed their own web
applications, has the time to do their own site maintenance,
and needs a dedicated computer for performance and/or security
requirements. The customer has root access to their server
and perform administrative tasks as they desire.
What
is a Managed Server?
A Managed Server is a dedicated server
that is leased to a single customer - but instead of the application
software being maintained by the customer, SeeWolf Online
maintains the server and the application. This is perfect
for Microsoft Exchange Servers, IIS and Application Servers,
Mobile Information Server, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
databases, and any other components needed by the application.
With complex, mission critical systems, it is usually less
expensive to outsource the complete system than to maintain
the staff and equipment needed to insure reliable operation.
What
is a Collocation Server?
A Collocation Server is a machine that
the customer provides and is housed at SeeWolf Online's secure
facility. SeeWolf Online is responsible for maintaining the
network connections and backup power system. The customer
maintains the server hardware and operating systems, and applications.
This is a perfect solution for those customer's who have already
invested in the hardware - but need a stable and secure environment.

What
is Virtual Hosting?
Virtual hosting, also known as shared
hosting, is where your web presence is on the same physical
platform as other customers. This type of hosting is perfect
for companies just starting out - or who have business-card
sites. As your online business grows and you need more processing
power to maintain the user experience, customers tend to migrate
to their own dedicated platform.
